ABOUT US
WHAT IS
THE LAB?

Founded in 2012, The Lab began as a series of pop-up classes — a space where The Addlib’s resident choreographers could experiment, create, and push ideas without limits. It was raw, exploratory, and deeply rooted in artistry.
Over the years, it evolved.
Today, The Lab is one of our biggest annual experiences. This year, TLSC26 is a six-week camp-to-stage journey where students train, rehearse, and build a full production number inside their chosen camp.
And it doesn’t end in the studio.
You perform it live on a 360° center stage at the SM Skydome, with the audience on all four sides. Two weeks later, we gather again for the Cinematic Experience — the edited concert-film version of the show on the big screen.
What started as experimentation has become elevation.
This year, we’re LOCKED IN — intentional, aligned, deliberate.
The Lab is not just a summer camp.
It’s a complete experience.

FAQ
What is The Lab Summer Camp?
The Lab is a 6-week camp-to-stage experience by The Addlib. You train weekly inside your chosen camp, build one production number, and perform it at The Show Vol. 3-D on a 360° center stage at the SM Skydome.
Two weeks later, we gather again for the Cinematic Experience — the edited concert-film version of the show screened in a cinema setting.
It’s not just a workshop. It’s a complete experience.
is this beginner friendly?
Yes. The camp is inclusive and open to dancers of different levels.
Some camps may feel more performance-focused than others, so we encourage you to read the camp descriptions carefully. If you’re unsure, message us and we’ll gladly guide you.
Even if you’ve never performed before, our teachers will support you every step of the way.
can i enroll in more than one camp?
Yes! Many students take multiple camps.
Before enrolling:
-
Make sure your selected classes do not overlap in the weekly studio schedule.
-
Check the Show Sequence to plan for costume changes and stamina on recital day.
what happens if i miss a class?
Each camp runs for 6 fixed sessions. We do not offer make-up classes for absences.
If you miss a session, you are responsible for catching up through classmates or rehearsal footage (if available).
is technical dress rehearsals mandatory?
Yes. TDR is mandatory for all performers. This is where staging, spacing, and production elements are finalized.
is show day attendance mandatory?
Yes. Participation in the recital is part of the camp experience. Show Day attendance is required.
what time will show day start and end?
Call time is usually around 7:00 AM (final time to be confirmed).
There will be two shows:
-
Afternoon show – approximately 2:00 PM (TBC)
-
Evening show – 8:00 PM
There will be enough time in between for rest and preparation.
Dressing room tents will be provided during the show, with security personnel present. However, we strongly advise students not to bring unnecessary valuables.
what does a 360° center stage mean?
Unlike traditional recitals where the audience sits in front, this year’s stage is placed in the center of the Skydome with the audience on all four sides.
This means:
-
Blocking and formations are more dynamic
-
There is no single “front”
-
Every dancer must stay present and aware from all angles
It’s a step up — and an exciting one.
what is the cinematic experience?
Two weeks after the recital, we screen the edited version of The Show Vol. 3D in a cinema setting. It’s a concert-film style viewing for students, families, and supporters.
Tickets for the Cinematic Experience are sold separately. Prices will be announced soon.
is the cinematic experience required?
No. Attendance is optional. However, seats are limited.
If you cannot attend, official coverage will still be uploaded.
are there refunds or cancellation?
All enrollments are final.
We do not allow cancellations or refunds once payment is confirmed. We encourage everyone to double-check their selected camp, schedule, and promo eligibility before completing checkout.
This helps us maintain fairness and production integrity for all 25 camps.
can i transfer to another camp after Enrolling?
We allow one (1) transfer to another camp, provided it is requested before the official start of the camp and there are still available slots in the camp you wish to move to.
Once the camp has officially started, transfers are no longer allowed. This helps us maintain the structure and integrity of the program for all participants.
You may also transfer your slot to another person, once only, and only before the start of the camp.
We encourage everyone to double-check their schedule and availability before completing enrollment.
are show tickets included in the camp fee?
The camp fee covers your participation in the recital, but audience tickets are sold separately.
There is no limit on how many tickets a student may purchase, subject to availability.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO CLASS?
Wear comfortable dance attire that allows you to move freely.
Costume details for the recital will be discussed and agreed upon by the camp and teachers. We aim to keep costumes affordable and aligned with the concept.
HOW MANY STUDENTS ARE IN EACH CLASS?
Each camp is limited to a maximum of 25 students to maintain quality and spacing.
Slots are first-come, first-served.
If a camp is full, you may inquire with admin regarding waitlist options, but slots are not guaranteed.
IS THERE A MINIMUN AGE REQUIREMENT?
There is no specific age bracket for most camps.
However, the KIDS Camp is strictly for ages 8–12 years old.
WHAT IF I GET INJURED DURING THE CAMP?
Upon checkout, participants agree to a waiver confirming they are physically and mentally fit to join the camp.
By enrolling, students release The Addlib, TADS, teachers, and staff from liability related to injuries or loss of personal items.
Please take care of your body and inform your teacher immediately if you experience discomfort.
CAN PARENTS WATCH STUDIO REHEARSALS?
Parents, guardians, and companions are allowed in the waiting area only. The studio is reserved for learning and rehearsal.
CAN REHEARSALS EXTEND EVEN BEYOND 2 HOURS?
No. Each camp has 12 total training hours (2 hours per session). We strictly follow the schedule out of respect for everyone’s time.
CAN STUDENTS POST VIDEOS ONLINE?
Yes — we encourage students to document their journey and share their experience.
Videos from The Show Vol. 3D may be posted on social media once the recital has happened.
However, to preserve the surprise and integrity of the production, rehearsal videos and unfinished pieces should not be posted publicly.
Professional cameras (photo or video) are not allowed during the recital. Official show coverage will be provided by the production team.
If you’re ever unsure about posting something, please check with your teacher first.
We love seeing your journey — we just want the full experience to remain special for everyone.
