THE ADDLIB WINS VIBE PHILIPPINES DANCE COMPETITION YEAR 4

MANILA – After two years of hiatus from the dance competition scene, the country's PHiercest, The Addlib, claimed the championship trophy from Vibe Philippines Dance Competition Year IV held in Henry Lee Irwin Theatre, Ateneo De Manila University last November 16, 2019.


Competing against different crews around the country, The Addlib bested 23 other competitors with the score of 93.83. Followed by its runners up, L.o.D.I who took second place scoring 93.00 and Power Impact Dancers on the third spot with an average 90.67.

Now on its fourth year, Vibe Philippines Dance Competition, a local franchise of the US-based counterpart Vibe Dance Competition, continues to showcase masterpieces of great technique, skills and production value while uniting Filipino dancers on one stage.

The panel of judges included formidable names in the local dance scene including Lema Diaz (of world-renowned Philippine All Stars), Jet David (Hybrids of Freedom), MJ Arda (Hip Hop International Champion, A-Team), Vimi Rivera (Country Director of World of Dance Philippines and Director of Legit Status) and Adam Alonzo (of two-time Vibe PH Dance Competition Champion, TPM).

With their signature out-of-the-box concepts, The Addlib has yet again proven that they are one of the country's elite dance companies. For several weeks, the group has teased their followers and fans on social media their hashtag, #TheAddlibVibe.



Behind the winning piece are Head Choreographer and Director of the competing team, LA Bagtas, and the company's Founder and Artistic-Managing Director, MissJoe Abuda.

After years on international competitions such as World Supremacy Battlegrounds (Sydney, Australia), Hip hop International (Las Vegas, USA) and World Of Dance (Los Angeles, USA), once again, The Addlib will proudly represent The Philippines for the first time in VIBE Dance Competition XXV to be held on March 29, 2020 at Costa Mesa, California, USA.

Before leaving for the USA, The Addlib will be staging their send-off fundraising concert tentatively scheduled on March 18, 2020 at the SM Skydome.
